All expertise

Every frame counts. Every buffer has a cost.

Capture, encoding, transport and decoding form a pipeline. We work on multimedia software with formats, audio/video synchronisation, latency and CPU, GPU and memory constraints in mind.

Define a latency budget

Separate capture, codec, network and display delay. Measure each stage on real hardware instead of inferring the result from one indicator.

Manage buffers

A buffer absorbs throughput variation but adds waiting. Define frame-drop policy, backpressure and recovery after discontinuities.

Optimise through measurement

Profile memory copies, allocations and decoding paths. Validate changes against the formats, resolutions and devices actually used.

Synthetic data / video at 30 frames/s

A buffer absorbs variation. It adds delay.

3 frames × 33,3 ms = 100 ms

Buffer duration: 100 ms. Total latency also includes capture, codec, network and display. This model illustrates the trade-off; it does not measure a real device.

What your team receives.

  • Documented pipeline and formats
  • Agreed capture or processing modules
  • Instrumentation and performance scenarios
  • Integration, testing and technical handover

Custom quote. Formats, codec licences, hardware and performance targets are agreed before development. The visualisation explains buffering; it is not a benchmark.
